BULKHEADS



This is one of the aft bulkheads being glassed

This bulkhead connects the outside of the boat to the inside and is also the largest one.

This is the cutout for the passageway in the main bulkhead, the outline of the door was rebated and completely filled with unidirectional fibers. This bulkhead was made out of end-grain balsa.

Underneath this flange of carbon fiber is the main bulkhead. between the bulkhead and the floor is another layer of unidirectional cloth spanning from the center of one hull to the center of the other, effectively creating a huge I-beam.
