AFT BEAM
February/March 2003

The aft beam is one of three major structural connections between the hulls and it will also carry the load from the mainsheet so it is pretty "beefy"

The starboard end

Looking back, The ABS pipe is a chase for all the wires and lines that need to go from one hull to the other. The original design had a "targa beam" added to hang the dinghy from however I feel that esthetically it messed up the lines of the boat so I decided on building these davits that have roughly the same curve as the front of the salon.

This is the top view of the main sail control lines coming up through the aft beam, there will be sheet stoppers on this little platform and a winch in front of that.

Just about finished.
